What Da Fux Up?
Svpreme Ink is a special kind of talent, why? Why this artist over any other? It's the sound, it's very new age, current, relevant, but unique in a way we can't really explain, so fux that, we won't! We got notice of her with the song "Curve" attached. This sound, the hook, and that damn voice, was an easy win for us!
The production on most songs does sound rather unorthodox but sustainable. Lyrically she's well equipped. No really, it's good talent, not just bars on a beat. It's really down to earth, and realistic. The tone of the music puts you right there... Where the fux is right there, we don't know maaaaannn!! Just listen, you'll get it.
This is an introduction to a very good artists to watch out for.
We're jumping right into the good-good right now. We've been waiting for this project "Live From The South-End" to drop and didn't even know it was coming out!! Since we love Jiggie Joe as fans, we say "Dope, Jiggie Joe just dropped a whole new piece of art" hit the play button and we're satisfied. It's a nice, laid back album, like that. In my head "The Jig Is Up" is tough to beat. So a bit biased..

Now about the release timing...
While music streaming platform SoundCloud is still experiencing difficulties, it shows no sign of releasing its grip on rap. As a way to share music for young rappers and producers it’s completely unmatched, and just a quick look across the top 50 most played tracks in the USA reveals all you need to know: it’s all rap, mostly from artists who don’t even remember a time without file sharing.
As usual, FACT has rifled through the best and the worst of rap’s current crop – from Post Malone’s wave of emo crooners to 21 Savage’s legion of eerie mumblers – and put together a list of rappers to watch in 2018.
Whut Da Fux Up?
It’s tough having the weight of New York City on your shoulders. Artists such as Young M.A, Desiigner and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, who soared almost too quickly to the top of the city’s relevancy scale, learned the hard way, rapidly rising and dropping from view almost as fast. But Jay Critch’s ascent has been different: slow and steady, he’s taken a backseat to Rich the Kid and Famous Dex and built a following organically. Now Critch has the entire city behind him as he prepares for the next stage – with both his debut mixtape and Rich Forever 4 on the schedule for 2018, he’ll soon be inescapable.
Chicago rapper KAMI is no newcomer – he was a founder member of Chance The Rapper’s Savemoney collective and put out his debut mixtape way back in 2012. But last year the 24-year-old artist found his voice, toying with synthwave on dark pop full-length Just Like the Movies and inverting the well-worn trap formula on the excellent Superstar EP. That EP’s standout track, ‘Payload’, has just been treated to a typically stylish video and is already picking up momentum; KAMI has proved he’s just as comfortable making rap bangers as introspective pop, the rest is just numbers.
The rap group is not dead and LA’s Shoreline Mafia are here to make sure you know that. Made up of rappers Ohgeesy, Fenix, Rob Vicious and Master Kato, the group have embraced their West Coast roots and made the sound accessible for a generation raised on SoundCloud. With songs like the eerie ‘Musty’ and the Bay-influenced ‘Bottle Service’ gaining traction and more ears finding 2017’s underrated ShorelineDoThatShit mixtape, 2018 should be a wild year for the collective. Having buzzing beatmaker Ron-Ron The Producer at their disposal will only help.

Skills are on the topic for today! When it comes to good hip-hop music, we now would put Ashton Mallory (Spazzy D) right at the top of the best independent music artists list! We 1st heard from the "Wednesday" artist from the SUNDAY MORNING project by DJ Luna. Which overall was a great project, even though we got some flack from DJ Luna, only because she's a sensitive ass crybaby, and said I was hitting on her in the blog, like fux the deal?! Regardless of dumb sh!t, that is how we were introduced to the great artist Ashton Mallory. Then we listened to NOTHING TO SEE HERE and was blown away!
We did a full interview with Ashton and got some major insight behind the music. It was a good chat, and great to see where the music, culture, and career would go...

It's a music video right? If it were JUST that, we'd post that sh!t and keep rolling on our way! Obviously this video is special, for 2 reasons; 1. The song is dope, lyrics are good, catchy, yeah good song. Reason 2. Is thee video, the fux we did say THEE video - Upper Class Type fish - It's a good quality, "movie like" art. The song was a good start and the video is the kicker... Watch it below, and we'll say a bunch more random stuff below the video! Deal? Deal!
Now that you saw the video, and you're like, man those LRMNPC fux really got something figured out with their music video taste, we know. No but really, it was a good work of art, just trying to enjoy the song and the video at the same time, could be sorta hard, but it flowed well.
We always say what people are thinking, that's why we say this - Interracial love chasing, normalized on one single less than 4 minute video, WOW. Mind blowing play on this. It even feels real and not lame, which again is another mind bowing moment but we can't count the second one because 2 is a little much, seriously bro, but well played...
Topi Mandela - Who are you? Ahh Whatever, maybe you'll tell us later, but for now, good video, and yes, the movie we got out the deal was nice too. How often can a musician do this? Is this like a debut video that get's us super high, and we wait for more on a long ass low? Just a question that new fans like us would ask... We'll ride this wave for now, and wait for where the rest will take us...
When it comes to authentic Hip-Hop, real east-coast music, and clever bars, look no further thank the Top 5 artist Jiggie Joe. Let's be honest, this guy doesn't drop a song weekly, but he gets fans voting for him everyday! Some people just like rap the way it use to be, and they depend on Joe to bring that.
Whut Da Fux Up?
Jiggie Joe just dropped a fresh new track, we use to keep an eye open for him to drop, but now he gets it to us! It's good to have a gift hand delivered by the gift creator himself, we're happy for the cool ass people working the Twitter world for us. They waste no time getting us the goods! Jiggie Joe is back!
Think it's funny that I can look at stats and see joe got over 100 votes today, and less than 100 plays??? Fux up with people these days, it's harder to vote for the guy than play his track, I should slap a fan! Don't matter, he's still dope, and fans know that, maybe they will wait to BUY the new music that he drops, yeah, maybe that's it...
No dining the man, he's dope, and you can listen to the new track "Walk On By" on the HEARTERZ page. Get with it...
Better With What?
DJ Luna - SUNDAY MORNING EP || That's what! We only dropped the link 1st because all that suspense sh!t is mad overrated. ANYWAY - I don't know what the damn deal is with our music scouts and finding lady DJ's since I can recall blogging about one like a day or two ago, but whatever, this too is just so DOPE!
This EP hit our whole team like - WOW! The music is so good, like seriously, it's reFRESHingly good, from the dope samples, and clean chops, to the extremely above average lyrics and concepts. There is no better project I've listened to this year so far. My apologies to those of you that made other great albums, and mixtapes in 2018, but nope, we're sold on this one taking the #1 spot. Thanks DJ Luna, call me ;)

Well keeping in mind the company Hitco - Is new and in the making, it really opens the door for this new and in the making artists to get out there and help launch the platform the right way... If you're independent and have a really strong following, it may be a good time to do your homework on the company and what it stands for...
What Da Fux Up?
L.A. Reid was ousted as the CEO of Sony Music Entertainment’s Epic Records in the Spring of 2017. The abrupt departure came after reports that Reid was accused of sexual harassment by a female assistant. At the time 21 Savage had made an emphasis on the signed with the label because Reid was there.
Now, the former music executive is returning to the industry due to a partnership with Charles Goldstuck, the former executive chairman of TouchTunes Interactive Networks. The men have teamed up to launch Hitco – a music and publishing company.
On Goldstuck’s personal website he lists himself as the co-chairman and founder of Hitco. He also goes on to salute L.A. Reid for all he has done for music culture. He writes about Reid calling him “a highly accomplished operating executive and investor with experience ranging from recorded music, music publishing, and technology.”
L.A. Reid has an impressive career having worked with Diddy, Mariah Carey, TLC, Future, and Fifth Harmony to name a few. Goldstuck also has a pretty stacked resume as the former president and chief operating officer of Bertelsmann Music Group. He was also a close associate of Clive Davis in the early 2000s.
Hitco is reported to start work this year, but according to the NYPost, a spokesperson from the company has yet to comment on the status.
